New Images on Nature Photographers April 2014

New images arrived thick and fast during April and the main theme seemed to be birds in flight. We have added some amazing flight shots to the library from common (but difficult to photograph) species such as Blackbird, Yellowhammer and Bullfinch, to rarer birds such as Black Grouse, Sardinian Warbler and Cirl Bunting.

Our invertebrate collection also received a healthy injection of new pictures, with new spider images from expert contributor Evan Jones, a selection of marine invertebrates from underwater specialist Steve Trewhella, and numbers of bees and hoverflies from Roger Tidman.

Other noteworthy pictures were Long and Short-snouted Seahorse, again from Steve Trewhella, and some bird rarities including Western Bonelli’s Warbler, Red-flanked Bluetail and White-tailed Lapwing.
